International Trophy Autotest

11 May 2008

Motorsport Ireland's autotest team scored their fifth victory in a row in TDC's International Trophy event at Arklow on Saturday, extending their unbeaten record in team events anywhere, which stretches from late 2003. The quartet beat old rivals Northern Ireland by 34 seconds after fifteen long tests.

Hewison champion Eddie Peterson was the individual winner, joining forces with Eamonn Byrne, Steven Bolton and David Thompson, who won the large saloon class. Former champion J J Farrell was the runner up, with NI's Robin Lyons taking a close third overall and a class win, just three tenths of a second ahead of Byrne.
