After finishing eleventh in the Sprint Race, Adam Carroll from Portadown brought the Belmayne A1 Team Ireland car, newly renamed the "Celtic Tiger", to a fine third place in the Feature Race at the Chinese round of the A1 Grand Prix series at Shanghai on Sunday.
Carroll qualified fourth for the main race, and despite losing two positions at the start, fought back to finish behind the winning USA car of Jonathan Summerton and Filipe Albuquerque of Portugal, lifting Ireland to seventh in the points table as teams prepare for the final rounds at Brands Hatch in three weeks.
