Training is provided to all officials in motorsport to ensuring they are trained to the highest standards.

This means that when they go into the field within their chosen disciplines, they do so in the knowledge that they have been trained and have the backing of Motorsport Ireland in all decisions they make. Training caters for all levels from Marshals all the way up to the Clerk of the Course position. All sessions are carried out by trainers who themselves have been trained to the highest levels to allow them to pass on their knowledge and experience.

Motorsport Ireland training sessions are well planned, organised, and follow the most up-to-date information and best practice within motorsport. The courses are free to all within the sport and those wishing to get involved. They are delivered in a face-to-face environment (with some online planned in the future) where participants are encouraged to ask questions and learn from the trainers and the other experienced people in the room. They are interactive learning experiences.

We currently run training for nine grades of Officials Licences. Below is more information on each type of training and details of upcoming courses, where these have been confirmed.
