Bandon Student Milly Jean Seaman Set for West Cork Rally Debut

The upcoming West Cork Rally over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend will mark a major milestone for Bandon local Milly Jean Seaman, as she makes her competitive debut in the co-driver’s seat.

A student at Coláiste na Toirbhirte, Milly Jean is stepping into the heart of the action, joining her brother and father in a sport that has become a true family calling. She will be navigating for her father, experienced driver Gerard Seaman, in a Ford Fiesta R2. Gerard, who now limits his competitive outings to support his children’s progress, will provide the experience behind the wheel, but the focus remains on Milly Jean’s first time competing on her home stages. 

While her brother Daniel is currently busy chasing the NAPA Auto Parts Irish Tarmac Rally Championship title, this weekend the spotlight shifts to Milly Jean. Her debut highlights the growing presence of young women in Irish motorsport, proving that the high-pressure role of calling notes is a path she is ready to own. With Milly Jean making her debut alongside Gerard, and Daniel continuing his championship campaign, the West Cork Rally promises to be a special home event for the Seaman family.
