Youth Programme
Motorsport Ireland is very proud of this new avenue to get young people into motorsport. Through participation in marshalling and as officials, this new programme aims to develop the next generation of key individuals who keep our sport running behind the scenes.
Youth Marshal
A Youth Marshal is someone aged between twelve and eighteen who will marshal alongside their parent or guardian. They will gain valuable experience by shadowing an experienced marshal at an event. A Youth Marshal is eligible to marshal in certain areas of events as specified in the Youth Marshal policy.
Youth Official
A Youth Official is someone aged between sixteen and eighteen who will act, alongside their parent or guardian as an apprentice official. This will help to attract more youth into the background team of motorsport events which is so vital for the safeguarding of our sport going forward.
