Clare Motor Club Leads the Way in Sustainability with Successful Recycling Initiative
Clare Motor Club (Clare MC) is proud to announce the success of its recent recycling initiative, which took place during the two-day Autocross event in Doonbeg, Co. Clare. Demonstrating the club’s growing commitment to environmental sustainability, more than 300 plastic bottles were collected for recycling over the course of the weekend.
The initiative saw enthusiastic involvement from all corners of the club, including marshals, drivers, juniors, and officials, highlighting a shared commitment to reducing the environmental impact of motorsport events.
Club member Carrie Ryan commented,
“We are very aware of our environmental responsibilities, and as a club, we are always looking for ways to reduce waste and lower our carbon footprint. We’re thrilled to be among the first Motor clubs in Ireland to embark on our sustainability journey, and it is wonderful to see the Juniors getting involved in this worthwhile initiative.”
Clare MC proudly upholds a "Leave No Trace" policy at their Doonbeg site, ensuring that all events are conducted with utmost respect for the local environment. Building on the momentum of this recent success, Clare MC will implement the same sustainability strategy at the upcoming Loughrea Plant Hire Clare Stages Rally on the weekend of September 7th, specifically in the Parc Ferme, Service, and Scrutiny areas.
Clare Motor Club remains committed to setting a positive example, proving that Motorsport and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
