The 2025 Dacia Sandero Challenge Cup continued with Round 5 at the Sligo Stages Rally, delivering another weekend of competitive action and standout performances.

Elva Roe from County Westmeath,  co-driving for Oscar Mangan, guided the crew to an impressive first-place finish in the Challenge category. Elva also took 1st in class at the recent Cavan Stages Rally. The Sligo win now secures valuable championship points and ensures Roe maintains second place overall in the co-driver standings.

Donegal’s Leah Doherty, navigating for her father Liam Doherty, also impressed with a strong third-place finish on the day — a result that sees her hold third overall in the navigator standings.

A key fixture on the national rally calendar, the FAAC Simply Automatic / Sligo Park Hotel Stages Rally 2025  once again highlighted the consistency and skill of both crews. Earlier in July, Doherty also delivered a solid performance at the Ravens Rock Rally, claiming another third-place finish and continuing her strong run this season.

Gaining popularity with each event, the Dacia Sandero Challenge has become one of the most accessible and cost-effective entry routes into rallying, offering competitors an exciting platform to showcase their skills across Ireland’s rallying landscape while enjoying close and competitive racing

Motorsport Ireland Women in Motorsport Commission extend congratulations to Elva and Leah on their continued success — we look forward to following their progress through the remainder of the season.
