Rally Tracker Cable (Free and Mandatory Update)

As part of the ongoing development of Rally Tracking for all Motorsport Ireland permitted rallies, we have identified a challenge that will require the cooperation of all competitors moving forward. Currently, we utilise the 4Rally System with built-in batteries to operate the tracker during all rallies, and this has served us well thus far.

However, in our pursuit of improved performance, it has become clear that during multi-day events, the units require reaching maximum battery capacity. As such, it is necessary to take action to address this issue.

Effective 01 June 2026, all cars participating in multi day stage rallies (more than 1 day) must install a power lead to supply power to the tracker unit.

We fully recognise that the installation of these leads will require time. Therefore, distribution will commence at all upcoming events, or the power leads can be posted upon request.

While the first rally for which this measure will be mandatory is the Donegal International Rally, we would greatly appreciate it if as many installations as possible could be completed beforehand.

Motorsport Ireland is providing this cable FREE OF CHARGE to all Rally licence holders. Simply complete the form online, and we will post a cable to you directly.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to enhance our rally tracking capabilities.
