Refuelling Update for Irish Rallying, 2026 Onwards

Motorsport Ireland are pleased to provide an update on refuelling in Irish rallying for 2026 and subsequent years. 

The Euro M-Sport refuel rig will return to all rally events in 2026, and competitors will have the option to use the rig or to self-refuel, in accordance with the refuel regulations.

Euro M-Sport's return is welcomed by Motorsport Ireland, with all parties confirming compliance with regulatory requirements through consultation with the relevant bodies.

Additionally, the Irish Tarmac Championship has announced that they will be reimplementing control fuel for their 2026 Championship, giving competitors the choice between Elf Core 50 & SP98 racing fuel.

Starting in 2027, homologated classes on all MI permitted stage rallies will transition to the control fuel supplied by Euro M-Sport. Modified classes will continue to have the option of self-refuelling or using the rig going forward. 

We are making this transition to promote fairness and equal competition amongst all homologated classes on all events, in line with recognised FIA standards.
